Rotary Club of Pune Camp continues to create meaningful impact in the community through diverse service projects focusing on health, empowerment, and education.
Mother and Child Healthcare: Under the leadership of Dr. Rtn. Vinita Pandey and her team, a special initiative was organized to empower mothers with knowledge and practices related to breastfeeding, maternal nutrition, and infant health. The program successfully reached over 100 women, equipping them with vital awareness for improving family well-being. The initiative focused on ensuring nursing mothers receive the right guidance for healthier futures.
DEI Avenue – Awareness and Prevention Drive: On 7th August 2025, Rotary Club Pune Camp conducted a major awareness program at QMTI Pune for disabled soldiers and their families. Led by Rtn. Jyotindra Zaveri, the event addressed critical health concerns such as polio, malaria, and disabilities. The program featured poster presentations by Army children and ladies, with dignitaries including Lt. Gen. Pankaj Rao, Rtn. Dr. Pramod Khandekar (polio expert), Dr. Girish Tillu (Malaria specialist), and Major Kamlesh Kumar (Dengue Expert). A panel discussion was also held with participation from Brig. Jothi Joshi and Rtn. Brij Sethi, highlighting the importance of DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). The initiative benefited 230 soldiers and their families.
Independence Day Celebration – Education & Empowerment: On 15th August, the club celebrated Independence Day with a flag hoisting ceremony at Sardar Raghunath Rao Dhavle High School, Kendur Village. As part of the celebration, 30 new bicycles and 2 smart e-learning kits (smart boards) were donated, along with career guidance books for students. Led by Rtn. Ashwini Shah, this project continues the club’s mission of supporting education, with over 550 cycles donated to schools so far. More than 750 children benefited from this initiative.
Through these impactful programs, Rotary Club Pune Camp reaffirms its commitment to health, inclusivity, and education, empowering communities for a brighter tomorrow.
