Meetings and Projects at RCP Baner in January 2026

An important meeting where the general body as well as a special committee of senior Rotarians  came together to discuss the amendments to bye-laws, was held on January 2 at the Bal Kalyan Sanstha.

On January 10, the Club members enjoyed a morning ride on Pune Metro from Shivajinagar Metro Station to Swargate, followed by enjoyable breakfast at Yumma Swamy, a South Indian food joint.

A special project, the Green pads awareness project for medium and high school girls was conducted at the Jaywant Bhoir Prathamik Shala Chinchwad  and the Jaywant Madhyamik Vidyalay, Chinchwad on  January 09. In this project 60 Greenpads were distributed to the beneficiaries.

On January 16, DGN Rtn. Charu Shrotri,  was the chief guest for a weekly meeting at Bal Kalyan Sanstha in which the Serving President, Past Presidents and. Future Presidents spoke about their vision for Rotary. DGN Charu Shrotri answered their queries. This was interesting and interactive. The most interesting part of this meeting was the Sindhi Cuisine served at the fellowship by Anns Reena and Shweta.

On January 24, the Club Youth Director, Rtn. Sapna Agarwal, President Rtn. Priiya Karia and others attended a youth activity for the interactors of the Indira National School. In this session, Rtn. Teena Ratra spoke about Public Speaking and Stage confidence.

On January 26, the club hosted 2 important projects at the Bare Mhalvadi Vidyalay in Bare Village, Tal Bhor. A library was started by the Club for the students of this school.

The second project was also done at this school, where the girls students of the high school sections were given Greenpads. Dr. Sunita Dharmrao, the Club Service Projects Director led the two projects. 

Some club members attended the inauguration of the Rotary Peace Centre in India, at the Symbiosis International University at Lavale, on January 25.

Three successful epilepsy surgeries were conducted by the Club in January, under the Global Grant Epilepsy surgery projects.
