Rotary District 3131 - Sports Avenue Hosts Successful Cricket Tournaments Back

In a remarkable display of sportsmanship and camaraderie, Rotary District 3131 - Sports Avenue, led by Sports Director Shashank Phadke, Co-director Satyajit Nigade and Co-Chairman Rahul Sapre, organized the RCC Rotary Cricket League and Tennis Ball Cricket League matches. The event took place at Hajare Stadium in Moshi on the 1st and 2nd of February 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day.

A total of 90 players, forming nine teams, including two teams of Lady Rotarians and Anns, enthusiastically participated in this thrilling tournament. The vibrant atmosphere at Hajare Stadium drew good footfalls throughout the day, creating an exciting environment for players and spectators alike.

Participating teams represented various Rotary Clubs, including RC Club Akurdi, Nigdi, Hadapsar, Talegaon, a mixed ladies' team, Pimpri, Satellite Club, and a mixed team of RID. The finals witnessed a fierce competition between RC Talegaon and RC Hadapsar, with RC Hadapsar emerging as the champions. In the ladies' category, the Cool Gals team secured victory in an intense final match.

The award distribution ceremony was an esteemed affair, graced by the presence of Shri Kashinath Deodhar from ARDE, President Harbindarsingh Dullat of RC Nigdi, and District Director Rtn. Shashank Phadke. Their presence added prestige to the event as they honored the deserving winners.

This successful event showcased the spirit of Rotary through sports, fostering fellowship and promoting healthy competition. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all participants, organizers and supporters for making this tournament a resounding success.
