"Shaping Tomorrow's Leaders: Rotary Club of PEN Hosts Multi-District Residential RYLA with a Spectrum of Enriching Activities" Back

The Rotary Club of PEN organized a Multi-District Residential RYLA at Shantivan, Nere, Panvel guided by Youth Service Director Rtn. Vishnu Mhatre. Co-hosted by various Rotary Clubs including RC Panvel Central, RC Panvel Mahanagar, RC Panvel Industrial Midtown, RC Nigdi Pune, RC Bombay Peninsula 3141 and RC Thane Passion 3142.

The RYLA encompassed diverse Rotary avenues:

 

  1. Peace Building and Conflict Resolution: Featuring a skit on 'Peace and Love for Humanity' and a meditation session by Mr. Hrishikesh Joshi. Dr. Neeta Kadam addressed 'Cybersecurity,' 'Child Crime,' and 'Posco Rules and Regulations.'

 

  1. Environment: Conducting a drawing competition on 'Save Environment' and a skit on Garbage Management.

 

  1. Women Empowerment: Showcasing a dance performance by students on this empowering theme.

               

  1. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Welcoming students from various backgrounds, fostering a sense of unity.

 

  1. Basic Education and Literacy: Rtn Dr. Jay Bhandarkar delivered a motivational speech on 'Health and Studies,' emphasizing study habits, healthy eating and hydration.

 

  1. Disease Prevention and Management: Rtn Dr. Jay Bhandarkar provided insights on maintaining good health for a successful life.

 

  1. Disaster and Crisis Management: Addressed through a skit on Garbage Management, focusing on recycling and eco-brick creation. Dr. Neeta Kadam stressed key issues like the legal driving age and highlighted the rights of education, being heard, and child labor laws.

 

Additional activities included Shantivan activity viewing, personality development games, craft, dance, skits, talent hunts, DJ sessions, Diwali celebrations (diya painting, Rangoli, lantern making), yoga, meditation, and drawing competitions, making the RYLA a comprehensive and enriching experience.
