E-Waste Awareness and Collection Drive by Rotary Club Chinchwad-Pune and Interact Club of DIC’s English Medium School
The Rotary Club of Chinchwad, Pune in collaboration with the Interact Club of D.I.C.'s English Medium School, successfully organized an impactful E-Waste Awareness and Collection Drive at the Kids World Pre-primary School and D.I.C.'s English Medium School on 28th November 2024. This initiative aimed at raising awareness among the younger generation about the importance of responsible e-waste disposal and its impact on the environment.
The event was enthusiastically received by the children, who were excited to learn about the harmful effects of electronic waste and the need to recycle old gadgets properly. The kids actively participated in spreading the message to their parents and neighbours, significantly expanding the initiative’s reach and ensuring that the importance of sustainable e-waste management was understood by a wider audience.
The drive was conducted in the presence
of the District Project Chair Rtn.Surendra Gupta, President Rtn. Harsha Joshi, and other club members. The success of the drive reflects the power of collective efforts in shaping a greener, cleaner future.
The event concluded with a collection of e-waste from the participating families, which will be responsibly recycled. The initiative serves as a model for further awareness drives in schools, with the potential to spark long-term changes in e-waste disposal practices.
