In an effort to combat plastic pollution, Rotary Club Pune Westside, RI Dist 3131, launched an awareness campaign on plastic waste management. The campaign, targeting students from Symbiosis School and Vasantrao Vaidya School, aimed to educate and empower the youth to manage plastic waste effectively.

Plastic waste management involves collecting plastic products, segregating them correctly and processing them into new products. The students were not only educated about this process but also trained to collect plastic waste systematically.

Through interactive sessions and workshops, 120 students were made aware of the importance of proper plastic waste management. They were encouraged to take action in their communities by collecting plastic waste and contributing to a cleaner environment.

As Director PI of Rotary Club Pune Westside for the year 23-24, we are committed to continuing this initiative and expanding our reach to create a more sustainable future for all.
