I am very elated and with proud feelings would like to share my felicitation.
It was a moment of immense pride and gratitude when I was felicitated by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting on November 25th at the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, in recognition of 51 years of dedicated service to the Indian Cinema. The Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) paid a heartfelt tribute by sourcing a picture from my documentary 'NFAI' (National Film Archive of India), meticulously framing it, and presenting it to me as a token of appreciation. The gesture was further elevated by the presentation of the captivating book 'The Makers of Filmmakers', a poignant tribute to the life and work of our revered Director, the late Jagat Murari ji, lovingly authored by his daughter Radha Chadha, whose autograph and warm greetings added a personal touch.
The occasion was made even more special by the Senior Superintendent of Post Offices, Goa Division, who proudly unveiled the 'IFFI My Stamp', a unique philatelic tribute that beautifully encapsulates the essence of Indian cinema and the creative excellence that IFFI embodies. The personalized 'My Stamp' sheet, a testament to Indian Post's deep appreciation for my artistic journey and invaluable contribution to the nation's cinematic legacy, has left an indelible mark on my heart. This honor, truly, is the most memorable and lifetime gift I could have ever asked for
