Updates from Assistant Governors-AG Maithili Manakawad Back
Dear Rotarians,

I joined Rotary in 2015 as a proud member of the iconic and vibrant Rotary Club of Poona — a club deeply rooted in strong ethical values and known for its discipline and adherence to protocols. These very values have been instrumental in deepening my love, respect, and faith in Rotary over the years.
As Assistant Governor for Rotary Year 2025-26, I am committed to mentoring the club leaders under my charge, helping them imbibe and strengthen Rotary’s core values.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to serve as AG under the silent yet sturdy leadership of District Governor Rtn. Santosh Marathe. I am fortunate to have a mentor and guide in PDG Dr. Anil Parmar, our District Trainer. What makes this journey even more special is being surrounded by my CoPsmates and good friends from RY 2022-23, many of whom are fellow AGs this year — always just a call away. I couldn't have asked for a better team to work with.
Having attended all the necessary training programs, I feel well-prepared for my role as the vital link between the District Governor, the district leadership, and the Club Presidents.
As AG of Zone 4, Region 17, I have been entrusted with five dynamic clubs: RCP Central, RCP Cantonment, RCP Camp, RCP Kharadi, and RCP Bund Garden — a wonderful blend of three well-established clubs with experienced senior Rotarians and two newer clubs that will benefit from focused mentoring and guidance on systems and SOPs.
I am especially proud to lead a team comprising four enthusiastic Lady Presidents and one equally dynamic Gentleman President. We've met several times already, and I can confidently say they are highly motivated, capable, and determined to take their clubs to greater heights. While I’m unsure about other AGs, I do actively encourage my team to monitor and strategize their CPI scores — a small but effective way to stay focused and aligned.
So far, my journey this year has been extremely enjoyable, thanks to the positive dedication of the Presidents, who are wholeheartedly focused on leading their clubs. They know I’m always just a call away for any guidance or support they may need.

I will consider my tenure as AG successful if I can effectively mentor and strengthen the clubs under my care and help shape future leaders who will drive the growth of Rotary and District 3131.

Yours in Rotary,
Rtn.Maithili Manakawad
Assistant Governor
