RCPC Creating a New Vision-
New Vision Arts and Commerce College in Shirur Taluka.

What initially appeared to be a modest institution turned out to be a place of exceptional spirit and vision. The college is run by MaalgangaAndhApangSevaSansthan (MAASS), under the leadership of the indomitable Ms. Jaie Khamkar, a visually challenged woman who transformed personal tragedy into a powerful mission: to educate and empower visually and physically challenged students through residential education.

RCPC took a multi-pronged approach to supporting the college. Through innovative initiatives such as the installation of solar-powered "Green PCs," club enabled their first computer lab. A key turning point came when clubraised over Rs. 15 lakhs during RY 2024-25, through CSR support from 3A Composites India and FIBE, enabling to equip fully functional Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories.

RCPC also organized a special screening of the film Chandu Champion—the inspiring story of India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Mr. MurlikantPetkar, who attended the event in person. The screening was attended by students from New Vision College and several other special schools, making it a truly unforgettable day.

Additionally, in response to a pressing need for student transportation, RCPC funded and presented a van to the college in May 2025.

The college has now begun enrolling students in Science, Arts, and Commerce streams at the Junior College level, with plans to expand into graduate-level Science education. President Rtn Brig PKM Raja, President-Elect Rtn Lekha Nair, and President-Nominee Rtn Cmde PK Malhotra have all pledged their support to continue this journey. Efforts are also underway to elevate this as a District 3131 project in collaboration with other clubs.

Together, we are not just supporting a college—we are creating a new vision.
