Rotary Club of Khopoli Back
My Journey As A Rotarian: From Observer to Contributor:

It’s been 10 months being a Rotarian, still amazed to believe how  time flies so fast. I remember the day when for the first time I visited our club( Rotary Club of Khopoli), during one regular meeting session. Just wandering and staring at the club members and was quite confused about what they were discussing.
Today I see myself as Bulletin editor of my club, who has already created and published the first issue of the bulletin of this Rotary Year and at present writing about  my experience and thoughts in the second issue. Last year  I decided to be a part of the Rotary family and made a move by taking the membership. I started with attending the weekly meetings regularly and was trying  hard to understand how things are done here and why the other members are part of this club. It was the same like when a small baby starts to crawl and gradually tries hard to stand.
Being a good observant, as an educator,  I started learning things quickly and gradually started to involve myself in different activities. After a few months I realized that I started waiting for Wednesday, the day when our club meetings were scheduled and was  very  enthusiastic to attend them. Though being an extrovert person and having good communication skills, was lacking the company of like-minded individuals, and a type of seclusion in life. After joining the Rotary Club crossed the path with many more enthusiastic individuals, with no age bar and were committed towards humanitarian and community service.
It was a great pleasure and opportunity to connect with such like-minded people, and to engage in different types of services accordingly. No doubt that the culture and atmosphere of the club helps a lot to enhance personally and professionally, provides a platform for networking and also provides a chance to return back to the society. Today I very proudly  share that this was the best decision of my life taken, to be an active member of the Rotary Club. Like a good learner I want to learn many skills from my fellow Rotarians and  to give my best for every task or responsibility assigned to me, and will prove to be a dedicated member of the team. I will also motivate others to be a part of this global family and will inspire them to take the membership of our club.
